Dr. Gerard Lalande

Gerard Lalande, MD, graduated from Paris XIII Medical School, France, with advanced diplomas in aeronautical medicine, tropical medicine, and emergency medicine. As the Chief Medical Officer of LUMA, Dr. Lalande oversees the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to LUMA members in Thailand and neighboring countries. With over 30 years of experience in South-East Asia, Dr. Lalande lead the development of Medipro, an innovative medical service in Thailand that offers first and second medical opinions, expert medical referrals, and systematic multidisciplinary tumor board (MTB) for cancer management. Through Medipro, Dr. Lalande and his team provide world-class support for complex illnesses, including all types of cancers, ensuring LUMA members receive optimal comprehensive and personalized care.

Dr. Thet Htar Wai

Dr. Thet Htar Wai is an accomplished medical doctor with an MB.BS from the University of Medicine 1, Yangon, Myanmar, and membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, UK). She has extensive experience working in healthcare both locally and internationally, providing high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Thet is passionate about improving healthcare and making a positive impact through her medical expertise.

Dr. Lwin Thiri Aye

Dr. Lwin Thiri Aye is a highly experienced medical professional with an MB.BS from the University of Medicine 1, Yangon. With over five years of experience as a licensed doctor in local, international, and government hospitals, she has seamlessly transitioned her clinical expertise into the health insurance industry. In her role as a medical manager, Dr. Lwin leads and oversees underwriting, claims, and product development, using her extensive medical knowledge to create impactful solutions and drive progress in healthcare management.

Dr. Shun Pyae Min

Dr. Shun, a graduate of the University of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar, holds an M.B., B.S in General Practice and has over 8 years of experience in hospital and general practice settings. Currently working at LUMA, Dr. Shun is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, combining medical expertise with a compassionate approach to support health and well-being.

Chontara Thammasith

Chontara Thammsith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science from Chiang Mai University and a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Operations Management from the National Institute of Development Administration. Combining her medical and business education, she has developed extensive expertise in life and non-life insurance, specializing in Claims and Underwriting.

Rungnapa Thongnoi

Rungnapa Thongnoi holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Boromrajonani College of Nursing Udon Thani, affiliated with Khon Kaen University, Thailand. With over three years of experience as a Nurse Claim Assessor, she specializes in healthcare claims and brings a wealth of expertise in neuro-clinical care. Her background includes delivering exceptional nursing care in leading private hospitals in Bangkok, providing compassionate support to patients across all age groups.

Sathita Mongkhonklee

Graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Burapha University and has over 5 years of experience at the Gynecology Center, Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital.
With expertise in women’s health and medical record analysis, she has developed specialized skills in health insurance claims assessment, integrating medical knowledge with comprehensive insurance evaluation.

Nichanan Chiwkhanan

Nichanan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Mahidol University. She began her career in the Emergency Room at Ramathibodi Hospital, gaining critical-care experience, before moving to Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital (SIPH) as an Internal Medicine (Nephrology) Specialist Nurse. There, she cared for patients with chronic kidney disease and supported pre- and post-kidney transplant assessments. Her solid clinical background and patient-focused approach make her a valued member of our medical team.
