I had to get their travel insurance when traveling because of the Covid policy. I actually ran into an issue and needed to use the travel insurance. The claim was resolved within a timely amount of time and the process was straightforward. I will use Luma again when traveling in Southeast Asia.

Terrible experience.Total scam company.Go to Allianz or anywhere else for travel health insurance. They happily take your premium but don't expect any service or compensation.
You may see good things on their sites but trust me, they'll ditch you when the unfortunate happens. I bought a Vietnam travel insurance from them and went to Hanoi, within the same month I got a medical diagnosis which required immediate surgery. LUMA didn't find ways to honor their commitments... but instead they tried to tell me that my condition could be a preexisting condition. However, I have a life insurance in my country and if I was that sick before i got to Vietnam, I'd have cured myself there without having to pay for anything, plus I haven't even visited a hospital for past 3 years until just few days ago. They're just money grabbing company. I advise you look.for other options when getting insured. They've communicated poorly with me and solely centred on unstated facts that my disease may be preexisting disease. Funny how they can't even respect their own policy. To be honest, they just wasted my time. No one deserves to be cheated like I have been. I have all communications with them through their email. They're just a scam insurance. I won't recommend it to any traveller. Such a shame.read more

Scam! Even though the policy states outpatient cover can be provided, they refuse to cover. Even for basic medical costs with doctor’s certificate and official recommendation! Somewhat expensive insurance but provides very good coverage even outside Asia, basically you get what you pay for. The staff is helpful even with complex reimbursement requests which made me renew further. Super easy to just show the insurance card when going to the hospital in Thailand, no need... to prepay anything.
