1. 1. Application Form: The Italy visa tourist visa application form must be completed with accurate details and signed. This can be downloaded from the Italian Embassy or Consulate’s official website.
   2. Valid Passport: It should have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure date from the Schengen Area and must not be over 10 years old.
   3. Passport Photos: Two recent passport-sized photos in compliance with the Italy Schengen visa photo criteria are required.
   4. Motivation letter: The document must be in English or Italian language must include the travel purpose and a description of the planned trip; duly signed by the applicant.
   5. Round Trip air ticket booking: A detailed travel plan specifying entry and exit dates, places you’ll visit, and the purpose of your visit. The document must be in English or in Italian, issued by an airline or travel agency, and must report the applicant’s full name as per the passport.
   6. Proof of Accommodation: Documents that show where you’ll be staying during your visit, such as hotel bookings, rental agreements, or letters of invitation from a host living in Italy.
   7. Exact itinerary: Dates, cities, and transport used to move across the Schengen Area. if travelling to non-Schengen country during the same trip, a transport ticket and valid visa (for the non-Schengen country) is needed.
   8. Proof of economic situation in the country of residence: Original statement in English with bank stamp and signature of the last 3 months updated to a maximum 7 days before the date of submission with stable transactions, name of applicant (not in Thai alphabet) shown on the statement must be the same as on passport, savings accounts with positive balance. If available, fixed accounts only in addition to the savings account.
   9. Evidence of applicant’s employment: If the applicant is an employee: headed paper company’s original approved letter should report full name of the applicant, job position of the applicant, salary, indication of the number of vacation days, company stamp, signature of manager, full address of company, telephone number of company, letter’s date of issue must be within 30 days. If the applicant is a business owner: Original Business License (from DBD) valid for 90 days together with English translation. For students: Original letter from the school, dated within the current academic year, must report: Full name of the applicant, full name and address of school, telephone number of the school, and signature of the person giving permission.
   10. (If applicable) for applicants with insufficient finances sponsored by family members: Sponsor letter from the person who wishes to sponsor the applicant.
   11. (If applicable) Name Change Certificate: Original and copy, plus translation in English or Italian language.
   12. Travel insurance: The insurance must cover:
       • Cost of repatriation for medical reasons or death.
       • Urgent healthcare and emergency hospital treatment for the entire stay and throughout the Schengen area.
       • Any expenses that might arise with Covid-19 or repatriation for medical reasons.
       • Coverage must be of at least €30,000 or its equivalent in local currency.

   If the application is for a multiple-entry visa, the medical insurance must be valid for the first planned entry. The Luma Schengen Travel Pass is highly recommended as it meets all these requirements.

   13. (Only applicable for minors applying) If the applicant is traveling with both parents, the original and copy of the birth certificate and house registration with translation in English.
   14. Flight Reservation: Round-trip flight booking detailing the dates of your arrival and departure.
   15. Means of Subsistence: Proof that you have enough funds to support yourself during your stay, like bank statements, pay slips, or an affidavit of support.
   16. Copies of your previous Schengen visas (if applicable).
   17. Proof of Occupation or Student Status:
       • For employees: An employment contract, recent pay slips, and a leave of absence letter from the employer.
       • For students: Proof of enrolment and a no-objection certificate from the educational institution.
       • For retirees: Pension statements from the past six months.
       • For Minors: If travelling alone or with one parent, a notarized parental authorization signed by both parents/guardians is required. Also, provide copies of the child’s birth certificate and the parent’s passports.
   18. Fees: The visa application fee may vary depending on your travel situation.
   19. Visa Appointment: Residents of Thailand who wish to apply for a visa for Italy whether as the principal destination or as their only destination, need to make a visa application appointment at VFS Global, the agency responsible for accepting visa applications. VFS Global offices can be found in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.

For minors (person under 18 travelling alone or with only one parent): birth certificate, proof of custody, (e.g. marriage certificate, divorce certificate, registration of residence); – An authorisation to travel (alone or with one parent) indicating the purpose of the trip and signed by both parents/legal guardians or from the parent/guardian who does not travel, with copy of their passports or national identification cards. The signature(s) should be verified by a legal entity (e.g. municipal registration office or court).
7. Six months of bank statements or bank account booklets copied and certified by the Bank or original document from the bank (in English) indicating the balance (exact amount); or other proof of sufficient means of subsistence for the intended entire journey and the duration of stay.

11. Tourist visa holders must be able to prove possession of the equivalent of 70 euros for each day of their stay within the Schengen area.
12. For business meetings/partners and persons staying at the residence of Croatia citizens: Invitation issued by the host (with verified signature) which should be sent to the Embassy by fax or e-mail before the day of application. The original may be sent by post.
13. For persons under 20 years old; Parents’ consent permitting visa issue and for the specific travel (original).
14. For students: Letter from school/university (original) in English.
15. Any other documents supporting the purpose and circumstances of the trip. An itinerary of the planned trip if several countries are visited.
16. Copy of Real Estate Property (title-deed), marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, if relevant.
17. Visa fee: The fee starts from EUR80.00 per person but may vary depending on the visa type and stay duration.
18. Application: This should be made in person at the VFS Office in Bangkok.
19. Document checklist: This should be referred to before making your visa application in person.

Fingerprinting will be required during the visa application process.
