Calling the emergency number of foreign-managed clinics or private hospitals is a wise option.
Despite the well-equipped, private tertiary hospitals in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the overall standard of healthcare in Vietnam is generally considered not satisfactory in most locations. For specific serious conditions, medical evacuation to Bangkok, Singapore or to the home country may be proposed. Counterfeits medicines are present in Vietnam.
Urgent OPD visits are usually set in a foreign-managed clinic or private hospital. International clinics can organize medical evacuations to any oversea destinations.
